Best Time & Climate

Best Time & Climate Monate

The best time to visit Tanzania is between June and October. During this dry season, the weather is pleasant, and wildlife viewing is particularly rewarding, as many animals gather at waterholes. A highlight is the Great Migration, which reaches its dramatic river crossings in June and July.

December to February, and often the underrated November, are also good months for travel. November brings the “short rains,” resulting in lush green landscapes and fewer visitors in the parks — perfect for quiet safaris and beautiful photo opportunities.

The long rainy season from late March to May often brings heavy rains. Some roads become impassable, and wildlife viewing can be more difficult. However, this time of year is especially green, and accommodation prices are often lower.
